Not gonna lie, I love printed media and writing a brochure is one of my favorite copywriting jobs. Who doesn't love the smell of a glossy booklet?
In my first job as an advertising copywriter my title was jr. copywriter, proofreader and administrative assistant to the ECD. Basically I got paid to do the stuff no one else wanted to do. It was a great experience and somehow they let me write the whole brochure for the full model line that year (I guess my love of writing brochures isn't universal).
For a few years my husband ran his own art bronze foundry and we developed a line of custom belt buckles which we took to craft fairs and sold on Etsy. I made this booklet to promote our products to wholesalers.
LifePlan was a pilot employee benefit from LegalZoom that offered a range of financial and legal services to members. Because it didn't fall neatly into an existing benefit category, a big challenge we had was explaining what it was. And, as a new benefit, we also wanted to give it an air of legitimacy. All of which meant we were able to make this flashy booklet to distribute at open enrollment fairs.
